Aligners

Invisalign

We are Invisalign ™ certified. Invisalign is the world’s most recognized aligner brand.

Advantages
●At SO, we customize a patient’s Invisalign treatment plan to deliver the best results with the appliance.
●We analyse the company treatment plan and usually end up modifying it extensively to deliver world class treatment to our patients.

SO Aligners (In-House Customized Aligners)

This is our In-House Aligner brand.

Aligners are fabricated in our own lab.

The entire process is in-house and supervised by us. No aspect is out-sourced. This results in an individualized treatment plan and high quality customized outcome.

Aligner Instructions

  1. Wash the aligner with water before wearing it.
  2. Wear the aligner THROUGHOUT THE DAY – at least 22 hours per day.
  3. Wear every aligner for TWO WEEKS. The switch to the next one.
  4. Never discard the old aligner. Keep it back in its pouch.
  5. Remove aligner only while EATING, DRINKING and BRUSHING.
  6. Warm foods can distort the appliance.
  7. Coloured foods and beverages can stain the appliance.
  8. Use your chewies 2-3 times a day to speed up the tooth movement and reduce soreness.
  9. When you remove the aligners to eat, KEEP IT IN THE BOX. Never keep it in a tissue or on the table.
  10. Clean your aligner daily using running water, handwash soap and a soft tooth brush.
  11. If you feel any rough spots remove them using a nail file.

Braces

CERAMIC BRACES

For improved aesthetics, patients can opt for ceramic braces. These are less visible and the treatment results are equivalent metal braces.

At SO, we use Crystalline 8 Ceramic Brackets from TOMY ™, Japan, the world leader in Ceramic Braces. The braces are of high quality and do not break easily.

BRAVA ™ Lingual Braces

These are invisible braces fixed on the inside of the tooth.

They are extremely fast at moving teeth and no one will know you are wearing braces! At SO, we use only BRAVA ™ Lingual braces. This is cutting edge technology which results in excellent outcomes and shorter treatment duration.

METAL BRACES

These are conventional braces made of stainless steel.

• Best for severe conditions requiring premolar extractions

A wide variety of problems can be treated with metal braces. At SO we use premium metal brackets from TOMY ™, Japan. These braces are compact in size and comfortable.

SELF-LIGATING BRACES

These are the latest generation of orthodontic braces and because of their low friction properties,

These are available in both metal and ceramic. At SO, we use world leader “DAMON” Self-Ligating braces from ORMCO ™ for best results. These combined with our expertise with the Self-Ligating appliance gives best results to the patient.

CHILDRENS Braces

EXPANDERS

Some children have very narrow, V-shaped upper arch. This can be corrected using expanders.

There are a variety of expanders based upon the problems the patient presents with. We also use specialized expanders for young adults who have completed growth.

FACEMASK

Facemask is an appliance used in children who are between 8-10 years of age to encourage growth of the upper jaw.

● It is worn only at night.

It is used for children who have deficient upper jaw. It is worn for around one year and results in a straight face profile.

HEADGEAR

It is an appliance sometimes recommended for growing children to reduce the overgrowth of the upper jaw.

● It is worn only at night while sleeping.

Even though it might be a little cumbersome to wear initially, patients adjust to it and wear it comfortably.

TWIN BLOCK

Twin Block is an appliance used to correct backwardly placed lower jaw in growing children.

• Easy and to wear

It is extremely comfortable to wear and the treatment results are amazing and it reduces the chances of a child injuring the teeth due to protrusion.
